Nearly 300 species of birdlife are to be found in a variety of habitats ranging from fynbos to forest to wetlands.

- Travel from Port Elizabeth to Knysna, which is renowned for its beautiful forests and oysters. Enjoy a boat cruise at the scenic Knysna lagoons. Take a ride on the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe through the forests.
- Cross the Outeniqua Mountains into the little Karoo. The Little Karoo is known for its Ostrich farms and a stopover introduces you to these remarkable birds.
- Visit the Cango Caves where you can see the most well known and stunning flow-stone formations in South Africa.
- The final leg of the Garden Route Tour travels to Cape Town via the winelands. Enjoy winetasting and visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest European city in South Africa, before arriving in the "Mother City".
