Next we travel north to an Iron Age site dating back over 1000 years situated in the Kruger Park. Kruger Park is also renowned as the most popular wildlife park in the country.
The next leg of the journey allows you to immerse yourself in the uniquely South African culture of the Swazi people on route to the coast via Swaziland.
A South Africa cultural tour would not be complete without learning of the mighty Zulu people. Visit the battlefield of Isandlwana where the Zulu’s successfully defeated the attacking British Army.
Next we move on to the coastal city of Durban which boasts warm beaches and a friendly atmosphere. Indian culture first took root in South Africa in the mid 19th century and in Durban you can enjoy a taste of Indian culture and a day of rest before flying out.
As an option, fly to Cape Town to extend your stay, or continue with your cross cultural encounters by driving through the Transkei, the land of the Xhosa, visiting the Nelson Mandela Museum, then on to the Karoo with its wide open spaces. The extension ends in Cape Town.
