in his footsteps. Visit Sterkfontein, a World Heritage Site,
where our ancestors
lived over 3 million years ago. Travel to the Northern part
of the country to Mapungubwe, dating back over 1000 years,
and visit an Iron Age site in the Kruger Park. In Swaziland
learn
something of their culture before travelling
further South to meet the Zulu people. Visit the battlefield
of Isandlwana where the Zulu defeated the invading British
Army, before driving to Durban. Enjoy a taste of Indian culture
and a day of rest before flying out. As an option, fly to
Cape Town to extend your stay, or continue with your cross
cultural encounters by driving through the Transkei, the
land of the Xhosa, visiting the Nelson Mandela Museum, then
on to the Karoo with its wide open spaces. The extension
ends in Cape Town.
