Wild West
Head westwards to the little town of Groot Marico. We spend 2 nights here – ample time to enjoy Mampoer tasting and be regaled by Bosman’s stories of Oom Schalk Lourens. The next 2 nights are spent in the Pilanesberg National Park, with game drives and optional open vehicle safaris before returning to Pretoria or Johannesburg.
Itinerary
Day 1
23 JulyDrive to Groot Marico. Welcome at the Information centre with Mampoer, tea or coffee and cheese scones. Drive to Guest Farm. Mampoer stories and tasting. Supper (own account) and overnight at Guest Farm
Day 2
24 JulyBreakfast followed by Bosman story programme at the Bosman Living Museum. Either a second Mampoer tasting or a guided nature/tree outing. Guided visit to Kleinfontein battle site. Supper & overnight at Guest Farm
Day 3
25 JulyAfter breakfast drive to the Pilanesberg National Park. Game drive in our vehicle. Lunch and dinner own account. Overnight Manyane Resort
Day 4
26 JulyOptional open vehicle game drive either early morning, or late afternoon. Game drive in our vehicle. Lunch & dinner own account. Overnight Manyane Resort
Day 5
27 JulyLeisurely morning and return to Pretoria.
